   @EdBoatConnoisseur @teknomunk Yeah, I don't think it will pan out though. The SLEP they had for the A-10 ended up rewinging all of 10 planes maybe? They dragged their feet on that one though.

   I just think it's going to go like every other overhaul for a plane: Once you dig in and start giving a critical eye to everything, you find that a whole lot more ought to be replaced while you have it disasembled to that point. We see it w/ used planes all the time, starts with an engine overhaul, then we see some corrosion, then you start tearing it up some more, and before you know it you get to tell someone his $40,000 overhaul plans will be $140,000 if he wants the thing to be worth anything in 10 years. None of this stuff was expected to be flying for a full half-century, back in the jet age they were junking stuff that wasn't even 10 years old.
