   So this all becomes a show, a fun piece of fiction where you watch team A blow up team B on twitter. There's no more country at stake here, just an economic support system that enables these machines to burn their $120,000 an hour while the engines are on.

   IDK, I'm just spitballing, going to work with an old falcon guy today and I'm trying to think about how to explain this shift in outlook. I think he kind of understands what's up, but he just doesn't want to submit to his own rationality on it - as long as he keeps holding out hope that we can bring our united, 2002-era America back with the right combo of civic nationalism and voting.
