   @RadixVerum i work as one of those 'essential workers' or w/e they called us back in the day. went to university, get a p high spec degree, keep various hospitals and health networks running on a technical level. all this effort has gotten me a $1500 a month apartment surrounded by schizo felons who openly sell and smoke drugs outside and have tried to beat my door down. they of course live here for free. my dating prospects are mostly neurotic, alcoholic 30 year old business degree women who make power points for a living. every day the ingredients i process into bachelor chow and gas to fuel my car cost more but my pay remains the same. i'm doing better than 90% of my peers because all my credit cards are paid off and my bank account is slowly growing rather than dwindling.
   
   what is pushing harder at work gonna get me? i don't have family to provide for and never will. higher salary probably comes with more work. i value my leisure time higher than any money. the 'status' of being wealthy is worthless in this piece of shit society
