   @Boomerman @lichelordgodfrey @Whitewall_Blasphemy @sickburnbro I forget the names of all the schools, I think Aeroguard was a famous one for having a lot of crashes. Now they even got an ACCELERATED pt 141 curriculum, so they can jam the chinks through in half the time they used to.

   I think the standard is foreigners paying their $70k and passing an “english assessment” while in china, then coming over and swearing they have at least operational proficiency.

   What happens is that they have only mediocre conversational proficiency, zero technical understanding, and it’s all rote memory. They know the sound of a phrase, and they memorize the response you’re expecting, but not actual understanding. It’s like teaching a dog, or a monkey to fly. More doable than you’d think

   They can’t think on the fly, so when things change up out of the norm they end up landing right into oncoming traffic because to them it’s “i hear old guy say alpha and I turn left”
