@Brycicle Minetest itself should be thought of as an engine, not a game.
I heard that they're apparently no longer shipping a base game with it to try to prevent that misconception.
The base game for minetest, last I played it, really only had the problem of having basically nothing in it; you could burn coal and sand to make glass, IIRC, and that was about it.
Whereas mineclone2* is actually a Minecraft clone, and has most of it, at least in the earlygame; I think redstone and diamond (and thus the nether) weren't in it, nor villagers - but maybe I just didn't go far enough to find any. That was like 2-3 years ago though.
*mineclone5 is an abandoned fork of mineclone2 or something. Many such cases.
