@Humpleupagus @coolboymew @Hyperhidrosis @Moon I read a paper that spot reduction IS possible under circumstances ie vigorously massaging area for 15 mins *before* (aerobic) exercise. I think they used one of those muscle massage vibro gadgets. Primes the fat from that area to be used rather than using fat stores from 'everywhere at once'. Guess combining with Keto would help.
The academic paper/study was from some Iranian university. I read it a while ago and haven't been able to find it since.
Arnold also thought spot reduction *was* possible. He wrote in his Bodybuilding Encyclopedia that although 'spot reduction' was not possible according to the literature, that certain exercises such as broomstick twists for the obliques worked in a way *like* spot reduction.
Maybe those old timey gyms had it right after all?
