We are left-mouse-dragging! This adjusts the frame count of the frame bulk, and therefore causes all subsequent frames to be re-predicted. Note how the bright area of the path becomes dim when I shorten past it -- since we have to invalidate and re-predict those frames, they are no longer accurate!
Remember: the path shows how the player will move. Note how as I'm dragging, the player will either jump from the platform, or fall down. Seeing this in real-time is what makes the editor so useful!
