@gmcgath This is a false equivalency. It's not accurate or fair to equate those who oppose Nazism with the perpetrators of Nazi atrocities. There's a difference between oppressors using violence to oppress people and victims of oppression and defenders of the oppressed using violence in self-defense against oppressors or would-be oppressors.
@3paul_k@lovelylovely I have a similar, yet differing opinion: The real enemy is gĖķrĖķeĖķeĖķdĖķyĖķ #capitalism. Capitalism is a system that inherently puts the pursuit of profits over the well-being of people, and it is capitalism that exacerbates human greed and allows the people who own the means of production to exploit those who don't. ðððĐðĒðððĨðĒðŽðĶ ðĒðŽ ð°ðĄðð ð§ððððŽ ððĻ ð ðĻ.
While the poor bear the burden of taxation, the wealthy use their financial resources to influence politicians, shaping policies that favor their selfish interests. This dynamic perpetuates socioeconomic disparities, concentrating power and wealth in the hands of a privileged few. We must strive for a system where resources are collectively owned and distributed equitably, ensuring that everyone's needs are met without exploitation or hierarchy.
Under capitalism, workers are exploited due to them being forced to exchange their labor for wages, while the capitalist class profits by appropriating the surplus value created by the workers. Workers, despite receiving wages, lack control over the means of production and decision-making, leading to an unequal power dynamic. Any worker who identifies with capitalists is suffering a form of Stockholm Syndrome, where they align with their oppressor due to systemic conditioning and societal norms.
@simoto@Daojoan Restricting freedom of speech for anyone, even fascist, could lead to authoritarianism and limit individual liberties. If it becomes normal to take away peoples' right to free speech, the fascist, if they come to power, would be able to use those very methods against us. I think it's better to addressing harmful ideologies through dialogue, education, and building alternative, more inclusive communities rather than relying on legal restrictions.
Anarcho-Communist envisions a society rooted in the rejection of capitalist structures and values. We reject individualism. We reject private ownership. We reject hierarchal structures. We reject competition. We reject profit-making. Instead we promote the good things: community-centered living, communal ownership, horizontal non-coercive organization, mutual aid, and focusing on meeting the needs of all individuals! #communism#mutualaid#horizontalorganization#anticapitalism#solidarity
