The problem with tabs is that they don’t translate across the internet the same on different platforms. Unix usually renders as equivalent to 8 spaces where as mac and windoze if I remember right uses 4 space equivalent.

Because many of us started programming in the days of monochrome monitors and no mouse. Similar to why some many standard Unix cli commands are two to three letters, ls, ed, pwd, etc.

@nixCraft I bailed at about 25 years. 17 of those years under constant threat of layoffs. The layoffs happened just not to me. Just a constant grind. Lucky/unlucky I guess. There ought to be some version of the Kübler-Ross model of grief for SW developers...
Anyway carpentry sounds much less stressful and satisfying. 🤔

Remote to Local: rsync [OPTION]... -e ssh [USER@]HOST:SRC... [DEST]

So you get the power of rsync and the security of ssh.

Sorry this sounds like bogus statistics. I mean how many of them are on the road, when are they on the road, and where are they on the road. For example three crashes won't mean much if there are only 3 Waymo cars on the road. Or if they only drive in the hours between 2am and 3am, or if they never get on a freeway and only drive back roads. I am not saying it isn't promising technology I am just saying I find the statistics rather dubious.
