I haven't read every post @aral has ever made (who has the time) & I don't agree with everything he says

He IS loud and opinionated and a fedi-personality

BUT I've never noticed him being abusive to individuals or initiating aggressive confrontation

I've seen him respond with salt to people who INITIATED contact with him using an acerbic or ungracious tone, but that's about it

Just saying he's abusive without examples seems unfair

That said, no account is too popular to ban if it's abusive

I'm confused. Is that person reading the boilerplate 'do not post racism or advocate racism' rule as a server not allowing people to post about experiencing racism?

Because there's nothing in that thread (at least that I can see) besides a weird reading of a generic rule banning racism that looks straight copied from .social
