gettin into website mode, gonna mess more with the layout via the beta section of the website today

i think i'll replace the top navigation with the notification system (announcements, etc).... i've ended up with two web directories and i think the top navigation is the least effective implementation of the two

hello today on website with dog i will be planning the new color balance for my website. the muted rainbow theme could be a lot friendlier towards colorblind viewers, unfortunately. fortunately, the fix is easy.

basically i'm gonna go through the palette in inkscape and nudge the range of colors to more closely match what i've been doing to color my drawings. once it looks good in colorblind simulation, i'll adjust the values in colors.php and give it a try

looks like the website palette expands from 5 shades to 7 shades of color (from 35 to 49 colors in total!)

to make proper use of this i'll need to go through my CSS and make sure it uses the entire palette.

i never tidied the base CSS to my website. horrified, i begin the process of standardization

good morning! i'm having birthday cake with my coffee. the cake is double-chocolate with a coffee soak, and the two frosting flavors are vanilla (white) and coffee (muted purple).

due to a very long story about my kitchenaid whisk breaking (and me having a series of frustrations trying to account for it) the cake doesn't *look* very nice. the frosting is smooth but way too loose, and i couldn't do anything with it.

but it is tasty, and it looks bold. that counts for a lot

so today i'm looking up ideas for cake decoration. my birthday is the 21st, and my gift to myself every year is a well-decorated cake that my friends can enjoy

last year was a technical challenge, a white-frosted funfetti cake topped with meringue mushrooms and a rainbow stripe of frosting in the center.

this year? might still be technical, but i've got "dream whip" & two kinds of "unicorn sprinkles" to work with :openmoji_unicorn: ❤️

good morning gang!! it's an art day today. i have plans to doodle a renamon.

today is last call for december commissions! my birthday is on wednesday (21st) and i'm taking time off for the holidays

for my next trick, I’m going to pull a Renamon out of a hat.

Walking in the forest was nice. It rained heavily yesterday and continued to this morning. The grass in the field was surprisingly lush, and the forest was damp with moss and fungus. I hope winter stays warm.

today (not tuesday, as scheduled) is the day the insurance adjuster came by to look at the car. it's totalled, but because it's classified as a *classic car* (a 2001 lincoln continental) the payment might be higher than expected.

short term money problems may be over in a few days, at least. ayyy

but husband really loved having that car
