i had a (pirated) copy of Photoshop, and a set of Kai's Power Tools plug-ins for it. my boss asked me to spruce up our FTP's home page with some classy buttons.

too often over the past ten years i've seen the late 90s web aesthetics poked at as "ugly", "brutalist", etc, along with cherry-picked examples of sites that *no one* thought were beautiful in their time.
i'd like to change that by creating a link page with examples of stuff we found beautiful in their time. if you can remember the url or the name of the site, i'll do my best to find an archived copy of it (if one exists).
