@masstransitkrow Setting up a mastodon instance appears to require trusting several packaging systems of various quality, each with unclear security properties. When can I install a self-hosted mastodon server the same way I install, say, a self-hosted ssh or DNS server on a Trisquel (or Ubuntu, RHEL etc) system? As far as I understand, the software stack is not stable enough for that to be feasible, which is my concern.
