If you want real world impact of AI, not just handwringing or lols, look at short fiction periodicals. They are being *buried* under zero-effort submissions.
Fiction magazine are labors of love. Absolutely no one has been getting rich doing it. Labors. Of. Love.
And they're being suffocated by chuckleducks who want, what? $8 and their name in lights for a conversation with a chatbot?

@alcinnz I'm not giving up on it, but it is clearly insufficient. I think you touched on a lot of things that are (in part) a result of not looking at the larger context of open source software, and also are (ironically) about gatekeeping ones own fiefdoms.
