Perhaps the best remote I have ever seen.

A book idea: “Life before software.” All of the amazing mechanical and electromechanical solutions to what today would be software: Old pinball machines, Backspace on a Selectric, tons of a/v stuff, Linotype, Comptometer, phone relays, probably a million other things. Beautiful drawings and great stories.

I can’t believe that 12 years ago we actually put Stanisław Lem’s Cyberiad right on Google’s homepage.

It still works. This minigame must be so inscrutable if you have no idea what it is! I’m so proud of so many decisions here, including the ending which is a subversion of the original story, and yet I feel like something Lem would have approved of.
