@awooo imo the "personal computer" is not at threat of lockdown (people have been talking about this happening with DRM and Secure Boot for decades, and yet Asahi Linux exists on a platform only rivaled by the Xbox One in overengineered TC), it's just going to become a specialty device / partially extinct / possibly too expensive to own for everyone down the line

@awooo I’m not so sure this is going to happen unless there’s a compliance reason for it. Banks aren’t even adopting current attestation devices as options (FIDO? On a bank website?) and love to have maybe SMS at best (or worst, depending on how you look at it)
