Two “alien-curious scientists” believe AI could hold the key to humanity finally making contact with extraterrestrials.

Writing for Scientific American, astronomer Franck Marchis and NASA researcher Ignacio G. Lopez-Francois, said that after 40 years of serious search with no results, it is time to “radically rethink our approach.” Their suggestion? Scientists at JILA, a science research institution based at the University of Colorado Boulder, have built the most precise atomic clock ever. It will reportedly only lose a second every 30 billion years, making it twice as accurate as the previous timekeeping record holder.

A quiet update to the company’s policy suggests messages, data and files sent by users are helping Slack to improve its in-app features like channel recommendations, search results and emoji suggestions, reports @PCMag.
