Scraping is another word for "spider crawling" (Google and Google AI have long been doing it), what Twitter is claiming is moot and not at all what's going on in the bigger picture. Sorry, this is the wrong take.
You don't think Reddit is scraped daily?
You don't think YouTube comments sections are scraped daily?
The claims about trying to stop scraping in order to defend free speech from AI are ludicrous. As if Twitter is the only speech platform worthy of scraping for data.

What is happening now in France is the inverse of that. What's happening w/Twitter is the inverse of prior Govt interest. Shutting down Twitter serves interest of govt.

Twitter is more valuable, and more engaged by ordinary citizens outside the U.S. Where there is state govt oppression, social media is more engaged. That's just a sociopolitical reality. Musk's use restrictions hurt non-paying users outside U.S more than inside. Start there!
