A Belgian court has upheld the decision of the country’s regulator to introduce #RouterFreedom for fiber networks.

The objections, raised by a local internet service provider, were deemed unfounded.

This decision represents a significant victory for consumer rights, and we urge other national regulators to follow this example.

The FSFE is proud to participate in NGI! Since November 2018, we have been a partner organisation of Next Generation Internet Zero , coming under the overall NGI umbrella.

The FSFE team provides support to NGI0 grantee projects on legal and licensing issues, as well as helping them to become REUSE compliant.

A recent report by the EU concludes that the @EC_NGI program has had a significant impact on shaping a sustainable, sovereign, and EU-aligned tech landscape.
