It's quite clear the Soviets poor quality trucks were lost in vast numbers so they had to rely on American ones.
Even if the Soviets had the trucks, they still needed American fuel for the offensive. You can cope all you want but Lend-Lease supplies won Stalingrad. I haven't even gotten into Lend-Lease tanks yet. -

Without American aid the Soviets would have been reduced to an infantry army operating from beyond the Ural mountains. For just one example, without American trucks and oil the Soviets would have not be able to conduct large scale offensive maneuvers like Operation Uranus.
