Split into two teams. One team builds a portable system that can survive a USB hardware attack and then when you plug in a thumbdrive you can still read what's on that. The other team builds an attack device that looks like a thumbdrive.

Does anyone know of a good web app or Android app that can download and view backcountry terrain and feature maps OFFLINE, and cannot and will not upload your GPS track to the vendor's cloud?
I don't mind paying, but it hasn't occurred to any marketing department to talk about my ability to forbid recording my activity.
Maps.me is kinda okay, but their theming/rendering of OpenStreetMap data isn't very readable for off-road areas when you're hiking.

@mcread@charliebrownau I've been using KeePass 2.x format and various compatible apps, for years. KeePass supports any kind of "sync this folder to that folder" tooling you might use, and its log-structured database format supports easy merging in the case of file-level sync conflicts.
KeePassXC (and some other front-ends) support putting all of your TOTP ("Google Authenticator") codes into your password database, so you're not fucked by a lost phone, and all of your devices can have them.
