Unsurprisingly, the school's principal is taking the bootlicker position and denouncing the students for standing up for themselves and their culture peacefully yet forcefully.
The students were courageous but restrained. The school is cowardly and frankly, teaching them all the wrong lessons.
Making Māori lives materially worse: acceptable. Protesting the person doing that: totally unacceptable.
The kids are alright, it's the adults who are embarrassing.
