@nixCraft While I also don't like what Lenovo did with the Thinkpad brand especially with the yogas and all, I do still like the X and T series, they're sold to enterprises with an SLA so they can't really fuck those up (or it'll cost them fortunes they don't have)

I've been using the X1 Carbon gen 8 for years at work and it's literally the sturdiest laptop I've ever had, I regularly demo throwing it open onto the floor and stomping on the open screen with both feet, never seen anything like it

@nixCraft Neat! I didn't realize that was public already! AFAIK that's only if you have access to "Bard Advanced", which is the model that's based on Gemini Ultra rather than Gemini Pro; it should also be a lot smarter in general, you should try ask it some code related questions :)

If they did, they're violating an EU mandate that started this year, that the "before price" HAS to be the lowest of the last 30 days. Fines can go up into the millions, so you really don't want to mess this up :>

Feel free to send them a gentle reminder if they do. I have zero sympathy for the practice or the companies doing it. Stop leaning on psychological warfare for sales
