you make that assessment like you know what I want out of a phone

I want the pinephone I really do think that linucs soyware can improve mobile computing, I just dont think the hardware / software is even remotely ready for everyday use

and I will be shocked if it does

@dcc @mischievoustomato @eris @rees except heres the catch, most of the world does not run on simply call and text. as much as I would like it too, I have so many from overseas that I cant get to use the apps I like.

I try and there are some people that use the stuff that I think is best but ultimately in the modern world you cant run just those 3 things

not so say that I dont like the idea of a linux phone, theres a lot of potential for that.
its just that the stability of the userland linux ecosystem for phones does not instill confidence in me

yeah it works well for a person who doesnt have to bed to job requirements, lives alone, and has to deal with the requirements of about ~17 different people and how they communicate
