Picked up this bad boy for free in exchange for helping a friend of my mom clean out and sort some ancient tech gear her brother was hoarding. Let's see if I can figure out how to get it working with linux.

Pressing the "search" button on that notification hard locked my laptop. I really need to move off of Arch Linux.

Apparently Brother actually packages linux drivers for this label printer but they only provide rpm and deb packages, and my dumbass is running Arch.

A kind soul packaged the drivers in the AUR. Let's see if they actually work.
