The cats that champion Black Ariel in Little Mermaid, Asian Velma and Daphne, Black Wonder Man, Black Valkyrie, Black Elves and Dwarfs in Rings of Power, etc only see legitimacy in White Characters and Stories and that's pathetic and sad straight up. They won't even bother to support Original Characters and Stories that are Non White cause these cats were never about Diversity and Representation they're about Validation. I would rather have Original Characters and Stories based on the Mythologies of Africa, Asia, South America, Latin America, Polynesia, Caribbean, etc than to have all this Race Swappin' nonsense. When Hollywood does this Race Swappin' they're basically sayin' that we're not good enough to have our own Original Characters and Stories. That's insultin' and racist. It's time to create and support Original Non White Characters and Stories. Especially ones that are focused on Entertainment first.

If that's how you feel that's fine. This thread is made to debunk the myth that Street Fighter invented the Fighting Game Genre when it didn't. It only popularized the Genre. Especially the Gameplay Mechanics that were introduced in Fighting Games that predate it. Me personally the "Street Fighter Clone" is just hilarious when Street Fighter especially the First isn't original. I think it should be thrown out the window.

I disagree. The original Street Fighter II The World Warrior is just as flawed if not more so than the ones that came before it. The Updates improve it especially Super Street Fighter II X aka Super Street Fighter II Turbo. Karate Champ and Yie Ar Kung Fu are fun. Not to mention it's all subjective at the end of the day.

I find the whole "Street Fighter Clone" thing hilarious cause Street Fighter ain't original and didn't invent the Fighting Game Genre. The First Street Fighter Game from 1987 is a "Rip Off" of the 80s Fighting Games that predate it Karate Champ, Yie Ar Kung Fu and Punch-Out.

Street Fighter wasn't the first to introduce Female Characters to Fighting Games either. The 1985 Arcade Onna Sanshirō Typhoon Gal (Onna Sanshirou Typhoon Gal) did it first and it also introduced Grappling and Throws to Fighting Games as well.
