Where are there still services that support these? I thought they depended on FM radio stations SSB or some such to get messages. Anyone still brokering access to the OTA service?

For what it’s worth, even our local city-contracted tech recycler offers secure destruction of data. They take possession and attest to its destruction when completed. (They’re insured or bonded or whatever.)

Destruction. Hammer and cold chisel on the garage floor. Punch through the HDD casing or shatter the NMD chips on the SSD.

It’s the only way. (I worked for a bank, that’s how they did it for everything that stored anything. )
