@feditips I really do like #Mastodon but for me this is the biggest problem it has. It can be hard to find people to follow especially when just starting & for me this is the reason why. I don't want some marketing agency's algorithm to show me people it thinks I might find interesting; when I follow someone I want to see who they find interesting & follow, have a quick scan through & go "Oh, they look cool. Follow them, them, them, them & them." I don't know why it's not that easy.
