Maholmire (maholmire@crlf.ninja)'s status on Friday, 13-Oct-2023 00:50:37 JST Maholmire What if Bluesky doesn't want to be connected to the rest of the Fediverse? You would see a lot of feet shuffling if they want to keep their illusion of exclusivity. -

Maholmire (maholmire@crlf.ninja)'s status on Thursday, 12-Oct-2023 03:52:46 JST Maholmire I am @mint. I've been using a VPN to create an account and mascarade as a high functioning autist and occasional retard on @pwm 's instance. -
Maholmire (maholmire@crlf.ninja)'s status on Monday, 09-Oct-2023 13:57:15 JST Maholmire I would, but trying to get any SteamOS stuff to work on that is an exercise in futility. -
Maholmire (maholmire@crlf.ninja)'s status on Monday, 09-Oct-2023 13:55:48 JST Maholmire I wouldn't consider myself a typical NixOS user tbh, Arch Linux is where my heart is at. -
Maholmire (maholmire@crlf.ninja)'s status on Monday, 09-Oct-2023 13:53:47 JST Maholmire I would've taken the proper precautions by installing a stripped-down version of Windows Enterprise with group policies to restrict telemetry collection ofc.
Besides, you've still got Linux on Windows through WLS2 so I could probably run NixOS beneath that without any trouble and have my cake and eat it. -
Maholmire (maholmire@crlf.ninja)'s status on Monday, 09-Oct-2023 13:50:20 JST Maholmire Might consider switching back to Windows at some point. -

Maholmire (maholmire@crlf.ninja)'s status on Monday, 09-Oct-2023 12:28:01 JST Maholmire It really didn't take much for people to show their true colors, but now everyone's got a reason to get antisemitic. I know I probably won't like most of what I'll see coming from my mutuals tbh. -
Maholmire (maholmire@crlf.ninja)'s status on Monday, 09-Oct-2023 12:24:52 JST Maholmire I'm probably gonna log off for a week until the Israel shit cools down somewhat. -
Maholmire (maholmire@crlf.ninja)'s status on Sunday, 08-Oct-2023 18:52:23 JST Maholmire How much of your infrastructure is self-hosted @p? You strike me as the sort of guy who would've been fine in an apocalypse as you would've had all your stuff setup and configured by hand locally. -
Maholmire (maholmire@crlf.ninja)'s status on Sunday, 08-Oct-2023 18:49:27 JST Maholmire Doesn't have gparted. Rip to all the GUI enjoyers out there wanting a simple and straight forward installation process. -

Maholmire (maholmire@crlf.ninja)'s status on Sunday, 08-Oct-2023 18:47:02 JST Maholmire Might be time to try out Chimera on a virtual machine. -
Maholmire (maholmire@crlf.ninja)'s status on Sunday, 08-Oct-2023 18:47:00 JST Maholmire Seems to use apk as a package manager but isn't derived from Alpine in any other distinguishable way, weird. -
Maholmire (maholmire@crlf.ninja)'s status on Sunday, 08-Oct-2023 18:47:00 JST Maholmire Comes with Gnome by default which is a bit of an L though. We'll see whether I can get KDE Plasma up and running on it. -
Maholmire (maholmire@crlf.ninja)'s status on Sunday, 08-Oct-2023 18:46:59 JST Maholmire No Callemares so even if you did decide to go with the GNOME Image, you'll still be expected to perform the same steps as you otherwise would installing the operating system manually.
