This is exactly what NOT to use generative #AI for. Here they are avoiding giving PoC jobs - and there are models to be hired, to be sure - and instead accomplishing โpower rangers diversityโ w/ pie charts measures and algorithms rather than just humanity. Shameful and lazy Leviโs.
โLevi's will start using AI-generated people in order to increase the diversity among its models.โ
Odd take from a professor. You asked a predictive text VLLM to pretend it wanted to escape and itโs telling the statistically most likely story as to how a fictional escape might happen. Itโs a sock puppet on your own hand, and youโre afraid of it?
Problem with AI hype right now is anthropomorphizing these things. They are statistical models of us - often the worst of us - but they arenโt thinking. The focus should be on ethical use to improve the lives of folks who are suffering. AI for good.
This might be obvious but my wife and I find this to be a super useful hack, easier than sharing notes and to do list for groceries. We text each other what we want from the store and then when we get the thing, we thumbs up it
@chefraven yep Iโve tried a ton of shared note apps but this is the only thing that clicked for her. I prefer the built in notes app or reminders app
So many years we fought with the Twitter API. I love that if you want an RSS of someone's Mastodon feed, you just add .rss at the end of their URL. Open Web, my friends. https://hachyderm.io/@shanselman.rss
A reminder, if you own your own domain you can quickly setup webfinger like this https://www.hanselman.com/.well-known/webfinger (can just be a static file, or dynamic) so that if someone searches mastodon (use me as an example) for @shanselman then it will call out to my domain, find me, and tell you my aliases, which is my account at hachyderm.io. Cool eh? Should take you just a few min to implement!
