I slightly dislike flatpaks for not directly supporting CLI apps and commands, not just things started through the GUI.
Fix that and I'd be all aboard.

Plenty of GUI apps - Firefox, gimp, inkscape etc. - are also used through the cli. And plenty of people want or need to be able to start GUI apps from a command line (when running on a remote system, say).
Snaps are probably the better way to go.

User actions

Programmer and computational neuroscientist, now HPC support engineer in Okinawa, Japan. Photography, bouldering, recreational programming and playing the sanshin are things I do. Sweden, Osaka and Okinawa are places I particularly care about.
