This next mix will be called Rootflections, and will be my "debut" work. The next step is livestreaming to peertube me mixxxing it up (video stream too, you'll see yours truly but I'll probably don a balaclava) the purpose of this is to get me more prepared for performances in front of live audiences. I have a mic too ready so I can interact with the chat. If peertube can't handle this then maybe I can use twitch or something.

Also I'm communicating to you using a dedicated X11 session on my Pinephone alongside my wayland Phosh session that is hooked up to an external portable LCD monitor, mouse and keyboard via the dock. I can switch between the two use tty, ctrl + alt + 1 to phosh, tty2 to xorg and my external monitor. I can type mms and sms with my wireless keyboard then jump over to my LCD screen for fun and entertainment on a little on Pinephone 1.2 arm64 board.

Oh for sure the end goal is live performances, even if local. No, this is a labor of love, but if I got paid for it, I would just invest it in equipment and hopefully someday my own mini-studio to produce stuff, my kids would love that

It's the previous to Turkey VIP, it's just as good but a long ass sesh. Personally long sessions are healthy for me to dig deep and better my craft, but some listeners don't like them. I'm debating just releasing my mixes in 15-20 segments to stop feeling the pressure about it. But there is something to be said about speedrunning a mix, which is more of what I did in Turkey VIP.

To be honest, as pozzed and proprietary as the music hardware/software scene is, the ability to start doing this shit in Linux is basically a miracle. Having FOSS options for media creation in my opinion means more than faggoty vidya gaymes.

FOSS music production is a niche scene, most people generally resign to using Windows or Apple to get the job done. They haven't met a stubborn irish/german/native bastard fuck like me yet :-)
