Stay tuned to the @penpot community (I won’t pretend I’m any good at updating my own socials) for more tutorials, articles, videos, templates, and other exciting projects we’ve got in the works. And if you’re a new or existing Penpot user, please let me know what would help *you* get started. I’ll take requests 😉
I’ve been working with the genuinely wonderful Penpot team on educational content and materials to help my fellow designers and developers learn how to use Penpot. It’s so much fun. (They’ve got flex and grid layouts in a visual design tool that exports to real HTML and CSS… yeah, blew my mind too 🤓) And Penpot is open source!
Now that I’ve got a whole row to myself on the @penpot Libraries & Templates page, I thought I should probably update the world on what I’ve been up to for the last few months!
Been building a couple of projects with Kitten in the last month and it’s been so easy to pick up and run with.
Like I’ve even got the author on call 24/7 but I’ve barely had to ask for his help. (And when I have, it’s usually a me problem.) (Though it is very nice when he adds new features that I wanted!)
Friends! I’m looking for my next role after nearly three years at Stately. I’m a UX designer who is just as comfortable in front-end development. I also love writing, giving talks, and making videos, so I’m up for dev and design advocacy roles, too.
If I sound like someone you want on your team, please give me a shout!
It’s so cool that UX Researchers Guild are reading Accessibility For Everyone as part of their book club! I’m really looking forward to joining them for a chat next month.
@angusm credit for Site.js should go to @aral and you should check out his work on Kitten! While I’m behind the scenes at Small Tech, Aral is actively coming up with, and building, these projects.
½ of Small Technology Foundation. Designs, talks, and writes about web, rights-respecting tech, inclusivity, privacy, and dev. I wrote a book: Accessibility For Everyone: http://a4e.link she/her
