Gaza’s million children have received no schooling, for over 3 months. The occupying power, Israel, has instead bombed their schools.

No education for these children, in anything but the monstrosities of humankind, courtesy of the dehumanizers in the world.

Is that you? Are you dehumanizing them or their parents? Their grandparents? Their teachers? Their doctors? The journalists that try to report on their starvation, their deaths? The nurses who witness their amputations w/o anesthesia?

This is Mastodon, so I like to think the chances are that you are still keeping Gazans’ human beings in mind.

But, if you are starting to write these people’s unimaginable (literally, most of us simply cannot imagine it) suffering off with “war is hard”, you might be shaving off bits of your soul every day.

That feeling we’re having? This isn’t what “Never Again” feels like.

I'd be astounded if 39% of the 17,000+ people they killed were Hamas soldiers.

It's not even plausible. 2/3 of the people in Gaza that the Israeli government has killed thus far are women & children. 2/3 = 67%. 7000+ children. 1000+ babies. Plus, the remaining 33% of murdered Gazans are men which =/= soldiers.Many of them have been journalists, doctors, poets, professors, teachers.

And the Netanyahu coalition has been starving all 2.3 million Gazans to death for the last 2 months.

Either "bear hug diplomacy" is a lie, or else he tried but is so weak he has zero effective power to stop Netanyahu's ethnic cleansing, or else he wants Netanyahu to starve 2.3 million people to death and bomb the most densely populated place on earth until it is unlivable.

Israeli has destroyed or damaged 60% of Gaza’s housing & forced 85% of Gazans into homelessness.

Anyway the Biden Admin had the power to abstain from this vote instead of vetoing it.

It also did not have to rush more weapons to Netanyahu in the midst of the IDF rounding up Palestinians, stripping them to their underwear, & forcing them to kneel in the streets of Gaza.
