Kinda blundered my way through the boss fight at the end of ch.2 tbh, gonna have to go back and replay it. Really pleased with my improvisation at the end of the fight though, Makoto coming in clutch on Johanna. She's such a badass

Chapter 3 done, the story is great, the boss at the end of ch.3 was excellent. It's still pretty easy going but very very fun. Think I've only one more chapter to go, but gonna try NG+ to see if I can ramp up the difficulty

Oh I still have the DLC to do at some point, too

@SimonSays I nearly bought Tactics Ogre from Amazon earlier for £20 but then I noticed the delivery date was a month away so I cancelled. I have the PSP version anyway

Picked up the P5 anime and watched the first 2 discs (15 episodes) over a few mornings this week (got the week off work)

I really like it. I know it gets a hard time from "the fandom" but who cares about them. The story is told at a pretty breakneck pace, but I can't see how else they could cut a 100+ hour game down to a 13 hour anime

The opening theme "Break in to Break Out" is perfection. Reminds me I need to get the OST for my collection at some point

With this week being #VideogameVocals there are so many songs I could choose from the #Persona series, so hard to pick just one!

Gone with "Break out of..." the main theme from Persona 4 Ultimax. The song is an absolute banger and one of my favourites, I love Shihoko Hirata's vocals so much, and the contrast here with Lotus Juice' rapping is just perfection

This song is structured as a war of words between the 2 main characters from the game. So good ❤️

There aren't many game soundtracks that are able to make me emotional like the Persona soundtracks are, but the Trails series, and Zero no Kiseki (Trails from Zero) in particular is one of them. Listening to this reminds me why I love those isometric PSP Trails games so much, with their tiny little characters that I care so much about

The mobile internet is absolutely terrible now, every single site is just the article you want to read cut up into tiny little boxes in-between all the giant fucking ads

YouTube has 2 unskippable ads every few minutes

I'm using everything else less and less, apart from here, it's like an oasis

I'm just tired of every second of my online existence being used by some prick to try and make money

I guess the next thing I need to do is to try and de-Google my smartphone

I re-read Cory Doctorow's excellent blog about "enshittification" today, and I realised that I've been seeing this process everywhere recently. Pretty much the entire internet is somewhere on the enshittification path now, apart from here on the Fedi

Once you get used to not seeing ads any more they stand out so much when you go somewhere else, and I absolutely hate them

A better way is possible, this place proves it

@CactuarJoe I feel this. I'm playing Etrian Odyssey at the moment, and I love the old chiptune soundtrack so so much that I bought the CD. It's a double CD, disc 1 is the DS version, and disc 2 is recorded from the PC88 FM sound chip Yuzo Koshiro used to compose the music.

I translated the liner notes using Google Lens and the game director basically says "yeah I know the DS can use samples but the old music sounds better so I asked YK to make it" and I'm just ❤️👑😭

Ok one more. ATLUS went all out for the SMTV soundtrack, and I remember the first time this tune kicked in in game, I stopped the fight and just sat there freaking out to this for about 5 minutes, before getting my arse kicked by Nuwa and dumped back to the game over screen. This is just epic, turn it up

@rezzyreksya I've only been on the Fedi since November last year and I'm already really fucking bored of the whole inter-instance drama thing that some people really seem to thrive on
