Pretty sure this makes me old, but I think I prefer the original Final Fantasy 7's soundtrack to the remake's.
The original's is some MIDI nonsense, sure, but it's electro-industrial klezmer shit, it's wild. This is crazy stuff. The remake takes all that and goes the boring orchestral route. It sounds like a movie soundtrack in places. :/
