@Shivviness@fkamiah17@aral I guess no one seriously expected the Democrats to stop enabling war crimes. Neither side in US politics would do that. The US has always put itself above international law.
For the record, I understand the urge to "well actually" jokes if you're the pedantic type, like I am too. I have probably done it myself from time to time, and have had it done to me several times.
Just ... don't.
It's very annoying for the person who wrote the post, and it is very annoying for people who read it. It does not make you look smart. It makes you look like an ass.
When people make a joke, and you just happen to know an exception to the joke, there is no need to make a "well actually" post. Yes, we all realise you can use a search engine. Here, have a cookie.
@aral haha, good point. If I got that much funding for my open source project, I'd spread it around. I'd love to have enough to work full time on it for a year though.
I've spent several days now rewriting the website for my novelWriter project.
I recently redid a large documentation site for work, and used among other things the Sphinx Design extension to do so. This gave me the idea to use it for my project website too, and when I found the PyData Sphinx theme and made a demo locally, there was no turning back 😁
@wraldpyk@aral The argument is bullshit anyway. It presupposes that criticism of power is only valid if you can prove you can do a better job. It's an inherently anti-democratic idea.
