@ins0mniak @dcc @PurpCat @TheMadPirate @a7 I got the imported version of MGS Integral and it was excellent. I didn't have a PSX but a friend was ditching his to get a Dreamcast and it came with MGSi and a Gameshark mod. That was fun, you ever use one of them?

Basically, you stuck a spring in to make the PSX think the disc tray was closed, and the Gameshark would stop the disc spinning a bit so you'd put in a regular game, the PSX would boot, pass all its checks, and then you'd grab the disk and swap it out quickly for the thing you wanted to play. This was the easiest way to play imports back then.

@olmitch @TheMadPirate @PurpCat @ins0mniak We're living up in hills that, since before people arrived, would periodically catch fire. There are pine trees that drop cones that don't even open until after they've caught fire, because the tree's apparent strategy is to avoid fighting weeds and shrubbery and just wait until they are not present. These hills are supposed to periodically burn, but we live in them so we have to clear the brush periodically, but we stopped.

Since the brush is not cleared, the brush catches fire. I'm aware there's arson and gender reveal fireworks and whatnot, but if we didn't cultivate a tinder box, we wouldn't have this problem. It would be really hard to burn down the woods if we didn't fill it with dry brush.
