Sadly, due to the deep and abiding stupidity of most Tasmanians, this message will probably land. Many people still think LAB represents ordinary Australians. They don't seem to have noticed that they are just The Greens.
The Tasmanian Labor Party just sent out a flyer claiming LIB policy has raised energy prices and that if LAB was in power we would have cheap hydro.
FACT: Federal LAB was responsible for adding wholesale price incentives for "green" energy sold into the national grid. Since then TAS has exported almost all its wind and solar power at a profit and run the state on coal and gas power imported through the cable to the mainland.
@ThatCrazyDude@kravietz@Sabex@Sophistifunk I'm just starting play with pure grain. So grain for the mash and malted grain for the amylase. I really enjoy doing things as close to "traditional" as possible. I make my rum wash from horse molasses, brown sugar and a a yeast I started from an apple. I keep the last 2L of the wash (dunder) to start the next run. My rum now is pretty indistinguishable from the British Navy version of this brand. Im pretty proud of it.
@ThatCrazyDude@kravietz@Sabex@Sophistifunk Yeah exactly. I never use things like citric acid, I will add lemon or pineapple juice if it requires more acid. The old navy dudes did not pop down the shop for amylase powder.
Interestingly the transition from pre-decimal (pounds and pennies) to decimal (dollars and cents) in Australia was a 2 year transition period from 1966, during which time both currencies were legal.
Combine this with the experiment of the last few years that provided Aboriginal welfare recipients with a card that could only be used for "essentials". You have everything in place in Australia for a switch to digital currency and consumption micro management. All tested for years in advance.
@martianvenator I went barra fishing at the Katherine river crossing outside Ngukurr in the 90s when it was like 4 days drive to get 80km to get there. The last time I went you couldn't camp anywhere near the river because of broken glass. The community is dry so they drink on the river bank, then cross to go home.
@martianvenator I knew a taxi driver in Carnarvon who had a glovebox full of entitlement cards and bank cards. He would "manage" their money for them and take a cut. They were happy because he bought the grog and used the cards for his own purposes. The Govt. will never except that people will find a way around everything except for a pit, a bulldozer and a bullet to the back of the fucken head and some people will even escape that.
@RedpillBot Tasmanian here. My partner has basically spent the last 10 years of her life down this rabbit hole. Listening to NA has also provided an endless list of similar events where "authorities" set up a patsy. This was much deeper than that. This was a staged event specifically designed to disarm the nation.
@AndrewTheGreat@tolawson Spot on. These are words that should never have to be uttered in this day and age. It is an indictment on the level to which the discussion has fallen.
