Thus the reason I lead with what I did. I assume your real issue is that I said 'typical zoomer Rage quit' and not anything else because your rage fest kind of sounds retarded. One can be highly profitable on 1-2 acres of land (realistically less than that), dude went to school for it supposedly, you would think if he wanted to he could slide the pieces together to make something work. The other dude that snagged the other half seems , according to the narrative, to be doing ok. Ya, Bavaria painful to operate in, and I don't know how crazy it has gotten since I left 23 years ago, but according to this narrative he had something and he just tossed it 'cuase he was pissed, that's a rage quit. Half the land=half the taxes=half the labor, ya I'm sure there could be reasons why it would be untenable but there would also be ways around those.
'Less that a Wendy's franchise' being your low point:
Franchise-Owned Restaurants
Number of Restaurants: 5,241
Average Annual Gross Sales: $1,750,838
Median Annual Gross Sales: $1,668,908
Range of Annual Gross Sales: $411,237 to $5,099,354
Number and Percent of Restaurants at or Above Average: 2,294 (43.8%)
gross vs net is always a thing in any business, that statement makes you look silly. That's ok, I still like most of your stuff. -

So half the land was sold, the other dude is farming his half no issue. Honestly it sounds like the typical Zoomer rage quit, where did the educational funds come from? (half the land?) can you buy more land after making farm profitable? (yes). Imagine how small the land would have to be for selling half of it to totally kill the profitability especially with things like greenhouses, micro greens, and chickens... it was licenced agro land... Every generation has its shit tier people, but this story makes it look like that family just got it back to back. On the other side, selling half the land was a shit thing to do unannounced especially without explanation (which seems severely glossed over). -
