@ClassicalRae I think pickles are very overrated.

They are ok in some usages, but really it’s ok to make a burger or a chicken sandwich or even a plate of BBQ without a pickle being involved.

You can do pretty well with voice + Ping (XRC / XMPP) + Craft.do.

Let’s you keep living docs, control access, sharing etc.

Not perfect but it works.

All that said, most people don’t want a 3 program solution, so they use discord, and that’s who discord originally catered to.

I dunno mumble does better voice comms, but for keeping track of rules, schedules, activities, game aids etc, it is probably the best.

Now granted if all you need is to rageping people to get on voice and log in, then XMPP + Mumble is fine.

And for large fleets in EVE I wouldn’t use anything other than Mumble. How else am I supposed to have leadership and diplos screaming about what an A-hole I am while I’m calling targets?

Running your WoW guild and organizing your friends so you can play games
together.

It’s not Discord’s fault that everyone uses it wrong these days.

At one point in my life I thought that our dysfunctional goverment was a real problem.

I have since come to realize that the dysfunction is intentional, and it’s a feature not a bug.

Those guys would be truly scary if they were organized or efficient or competent.

I am thankful for the WEF, the Clintons, Bill Gates etc…

They have cured my paranoia!

It’s no longer crazy if they are obviously out to get you!

Fake food, for fake people, with fake problems being solved by Artificial intelligence!

Latest 3D print and my first Print-In-Place design. It’s a hexagonal storage box (planning to store brushes and art pencils in them) and since it has a true hexagonal side profile I know that it will stack very nicely with any number of other such boxes I make.

Pretty happy with it, tolerances were tight but it snapped closed directly off the build plate without any persuasion. Just needs two magnets to serve as lid retention.

I’ve heard a few anecdotal stories of pharmacists who have seen people prescribed drugs with nasty effects and counter indications and called the doctor to get it corrected, likely saving the life / well being of the patient from nasty drug interactions.

I have also personally caught and had prosecuted multiple pharmacists who were using / stealing the drugs.

So kinda a mixed bag.

@Cosmic Heck I could absolutely create an automated system that would dispense 100% accurate dosages into bottles and then label them for pickup.

This is easy peasy stuff in the automation world, but we don’t do that for some reason.

Funny, it’s good enough for the manufacturer to do it that way… but not the pharmacy.

It’s odd to me that the people who rail against God for making “such a terrible world” don’t seem to mind the man-made horror all around them.
