@aral I don't know anybody at Paddle but I can say that I switched to them recently and it was very smooth. The checkout integration was actually simpler than Stripe's. Makes a lot of sense if you don't want to deal with remitting sales tax to UK, EU, etc. Higher fees but I think it's worth it.

@aral Also they're a smaller company and the support is very personal, they all seem like very sweet, kind folks.

Whether it's planned or not, that "quick & dirty" code you're writing for that prototype is probably going to be around a long time. The question is, how big of a pain point will it be 5 or 10 years from now, after you've continued to build on top of it?
