Any recommendations for "website as a service" a la Squarespace, Wix etc. for a UK primary school? They're currently on a WordPress site, custom hosted and I think they'd be better off on a "platform". Needs: - Admin users would all be very much non-technical - No sales - Mobile-friendly - Decent performance - Secure/private Typical stuff I spose. TiA. Boosts would be appreciated!
@nixCraft uBo is better on Firefox anyway due to the DNS API. Moz FTW. Also, don't forget DNS-based content blockers if you have or can get the kit - Raspberry Pi + AdGuard is great. https://adguard.com/en/adguard-home/overview.html
To add a little detail I should have included initially:
This is a web server/proxy software issue - it's a generic issue (rather than software-specific) so it's going to affect lots of software implementations.
It'll be announced at midday UTC today (10th Oct 2023).
If there isn't an update you can deploy quickly for your affected services immediately (there should be for the better known software, they've had advance notice) then you should consider disabling the affected element until there is.
Can't share more right now but it's important so don't forget (& tell your friends!).
To everyone looking for remote roles: it's worth stating at least which country you're in because that matters to some orgs (boring tax reasons etc.). That might be the difference between a potential employer getting in touch vs not.
