In the same wave of terror-attacks very probably committed by Israel more widely hitting people in Lebanon resulting in now at least 2800 people injured and 9 dead.

One of the people killed by the very probably Israel's wave of pagers/beepers terrorism in Lebanon yesterday was Fatima Jaafar Abdullah (depicted), 10 years old, reports Expressen, one of the two major evening papers of Sweden citing "several Arab media" and further stating "that a child has died in the attack has also been confirmed by Firas Al-Aiad, Lebanon's Minister of Health, and by the Shia militia Hezbollah themselves. It is still unclear if there are more children among the deceased."

The huge wave of pagers/beepers exploding in Lebanon and Syria yesterday, very probably by Israel, can be called a major war crime or an act of mass-terrorism, but it certainly seems to me that it can not be considered as compliant with the laws of war.

Rule 15. In the conduct of military operations, constant care must be taken to spare the civilian population, civilians and civilian objects. All feasible precautions must be taken to avoid, and in any event to minimize, incidental loss of civilian life, injury to civilians and damage to civilian objects.

Note that those "rules" are summaries of all customary international humanitarian law (non-voluntary global laws of war) by ICRC, responsible for maintenance of e.g. Geneva Conventions, while the underlying conventions and practices are cited on each page for further reference.

Greta Thunberg, Extinction Rebellion (and presumably others) are currently fully blockading a petroleum terminal, the largest of its kind in Europe, at Kårstø (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/K%C3%A5rst%C3%B8) in southwesternmost Norway, using 8 kayaks and 3 motor boats according to major news media of Norway.

The blockade of the major petroleum terminal at Kårstø by Greta Thunberg, Extinction Rebellion and others including an employee at the petroleum terminal operations responsible corporation Equinor, is part of a special campaign against the "energy" industry's "ONS Conference" (August 26-29, https://www.ons.no/programme/ons-conference) and it's the first time Greta has been acting directly against the petroleum industry of Norway, reports Public Service of Norway the the activists' press release stated.

This is the kind of journalistic malpractice that really should just get the responsible person fired out of journalism.
Plain republishing of PR-statement spins from one party in a conflict and entirely ignoring press releases and already published statements by the counterpart in other major news outlets, is not journalism, it's propagandizing and if that's the job you do, you should go do that while not getting to poison the trust in journalism by abusing your employment as a journalist and/or editor.

Greta: We are in an urgently escalating climate emergency and with everything we know, everything at stake, we can not justify that these [the petroleum terminal's] activities continues. This is the largest production facility in Europe and we know... it's crystal clear, science and everyone affected clearly said that the oil industry leads to people's deaths and suffering, and we are privileged enough to be able to act and sit down here and stop these [petroleum terminal's] activities and therefore we choose to do that, because we can not silently look on while this is allowed to continue happening.

NRK: You activist against a lot of different things. How important is THIS vs other actions you're a part of?
Greta: Everyone we do matters. Everyone able to act must do everything they can, to stop this violent business as usual from continuing on, soo, we can not compare various actions against each other, we must do EVERYthing we can, at the same time.

NRK: How long are you prepared to sit here?
Greta: Right now, we intend to keep sitting here. We'll have to see how long we remain here, but we have no plans to leave.
