@wilhelm@Raaf For us, we see "Preview not available - Click to open" for the picture. And when we click it, "The Photo with id 129767158665fc1a166d977123024150 is not available." – So probably another issue, as we only have one pinned post 😉
@wilhelm@Raaf Looking at https://fosstodon.org/@libreoffice we only see one pinned post (for the new major release). Where do you see the conference post? Can you share a screenshot please?
@Raaf No, we haven't. You're looking at a pinned post about the latest major release, so that will always be at the top of our feed, until the next major release 😊
@serpicojam Hi! Without more details (LibreOffice version, operating system, document format, and the exact issues you're having) it's hard to say. You can try asking on https://ask.libreoffice.org and see if anyone has a solution! 👍
@erikwesselius Yes, correct! For 24.2, we've moved to a "year.month" versioning scheme, to make it more clear to end-users how new (or old!) their version is. Otherwise, our release schedule stays the same – a major update every six months.
@gilles Hi! You can read about improvements in our release notes. Of course, we're a volunteer-driven project with very limited resources – so the best way to get bugs fixed more quickly is to join the project, or consider funding a developer! Thanks 😊
@eibhear This was discussed on our marketing channels, but the main reason is to make users more aware of how new/old their version is. Something like "LibreOffice 7.6" doesn't really say anything – but "year.month" has more relevance to end-users. We had requests for this, and some other open source projects use it too (most notably Ubuntu).
Of course, one version scheme won't satisfy everyone, but we think this is more meaningful for end-users.
@AnokLola No – the release schedule stays the same (a major update every six months). Only the version numbering has changed, to make the number reflect the release date.
Regarding bug reports and feature suggestions, please use https://bugs.documentfoundation.org. Of course, we're a volunteer-driven project with very limited resources, so the best way to get new features is to join our community and help to implement them 😊
