The Necrons hide many dark secrets in the depths of Silva Tenebris. Some far darker than anyone imagined...
(I wanted to try making a short-formatted video to test our Kdenlive a bit more, might go up on PeerTube later depending on whether vertical format looks like ass there or not)

チャノさん (japananon@mitra.anon-kenkai.com)'s status on Tuesday, 09-Apr-2024 14:30:10 JST チャノさん @Mark It's worth noting, other prepaid services don't seem to have the same issue. Steam Cards, Amazon Gift Cards, all those remain in stock at smaller denominations. Only Rakuten Gift cards are in this situation.
It's possible this is caused by Rakuten Corp itself... re-selling Rakuten Gift cards might be a grey area, and forcing users to self-dox with a phone number might be an insurance policy to avoid trouble if it comes down. Given that Rakuten points can be fed directly into a RakutenPay account and used to purchase almost anything anywhere, they might be working to mitigate exactly the loophole I was happily exploiting until now. It's all very opaque, though.

チャノさん (japananon@mitra.anon-kenkai.com)'s status on Tuesday, 09-Apr-2024 14:05:26 JST チャノさん My opinion of BitDeMoney is starting to go down... according to their new terms, you only need to do phone verification if you want to buy over 10,000 yen per month, and under that e-mail is sufficient. That sounded fine to me... small purchases being spread out over time works just as well.
But now, I find that the Rakuten Pay gift cards under 50,000 yen are all out of stock. I contacted their support to inquire, and was told "Rakuten cards are more difficult to get these days, so we're focusing on restocking large value cards only". That sounds like bullshit to me... I haven't seen any shortage of them at the conbini, and some of them actually let you choose the charge amount when you pay at the register.
So I suspect that the site is keeping the low value cards out of stock intentionally and only restocking the 50,000 yen ones to force users to register a phone number. If true, it means the site operators aren't as anti-regulation as I thought they'd be, and are cooperating with the authorities to pressure the users instead of the other way around. Either way, disappointing.

チャノさん (japananon@mitra.anon-kenkai.com)'s status on Sunday, 07-Apr-2024 00:49:02 JST チャノさん With Episode 25, the "S.T.A.L.K.E.R Anomaly" streams and the epic adventure of Vadim the Pot-smoking Murder Hippy finally come to a close. We murdered the UN-SIG into submission, and made an uneasy peace between the Spetsnaz and the Free Stalkers. Also, we brutally murdered every single Duty member in their base in Rostok, just for fun. Such is life in the Zone...
From now on, "Warhammer 40K: Mechanicus" will be our regular long-play stream game, chronicling the holy quest of Brother Sneedius and Brother Chuckanicus, Tech Priests of Mars, against the heretical machinations of the Necrons of the Tomb World Silva Tenebris.
The next Mechanicus stream is scheduled for April 20th (Bitcoin Halving Day), but before that April 13th will be a one-off "Let's Try" of Project Zomboid, because I always wanted to try it.
See you next Streaming Saturday.

チャノさん (japananon@mitra.anon-kenkai.com)'s status on Friday, 05-Apr-2024 21:57:20 JST チャノさん FURTHER UPDATES: It appears Amazon Japan has run out of stock of the physical version of 「トランスジェンダーになりたい少女たち (Irreversible Damage)」. Presumably they'll print more to meet demand. I can only imagine everybody wanting the book was forced to buy online, since damn near every bookstore in the country decided not to stock it.
Man, remember when tranny defenders said that the Kadokawa dropping publication was just "the free market in action"? It certainly looks like the actual free market has such an intense interest in the book supply can't even meet demand. Isn't it weird how so many businesses are acting in direct opposition to obvious market forces here? With such a demand, Maruzen and other bookstore could be making buckets of money in sales helping to meet demand, but they refuse to do so.
Isn't that unusual? Isn't that bizarre?
