Stop saying “artificial intelligence”. (And “neural networks” too.)

Be more specific. Say “reinforcement learning”. Say “generative modelling”. Say “Bayesian filtering”. Say “statistical prediction”.

These are incredibly useful tools that have nothing to do with “intelligence”.

And say “model trained on plagiarised data”.

Say “bullshit generator”.

Say “internet regurgitator”.

These are also nothing to do with intelligence, but they have the added bonus of being useless, too.

Scott Adams has been openly racist, sexist, and fascist for many years. I recall some absolute bigoted nonsense written about Hillary Clinton before the 2016 USA presidential elections. It’s not new.

@aral If I were looking at your history over time, rather than seeing a total rewrite (including rewriting hashes), I would prefer for you to add a single, signed, empty commit with a message along the following lines:

That preserves history and tells the truth: you didn't sign each commit, but you are happy to sign the current state and will keep on doing so moving forward.

Google likes to claim it loves the web. Google fucking broke the web.

Cookie notices on every fucking website? They need those because they use Google Analytics or Google Ads.

Recipe sites that go on for fucking days? That’s because Google penalises websites when you leave too quickly, and they can’t show as many ads.

Obviously-bullshit machine-generated “content” designed to entice you to click ads? That’s because Google Search is a monopoly.
