so, a few days ago i boosted the post about titled "fuck every border" with a bulldozer tearing
down a border wall.

it turns out that the context for this picture was the recent Hamas murder spree. obviously, war and terrorism are the opposite of liberation and Hamas are enemies of peace and denationalization.

this fucking naivety right after hearing the outcome of extreme government control. a government that's bible-thumping the same marxist nonsense that he is, no less…

there is this assumption in mainstream ideologies that "if it's important, the government should do it", like that would be obvious and you have to justify the exceptions (like the press).

but yeah, if you assume the state exists for a good reason, then you'll probably also assume it's involvement in important social institutions is for some social good, and not just to grab power.

and of course there is the whole state-democracy thing, because suddenly coops aren't democratic enough…

@lain hm, i remember Radiohead released In Rainbows officially for pay-what-you-want (and i think CC licensed 🤔?) when it came out. so they are probably more okay with this than most. but they probably aren't the rights holders for this 🤷…

@promovicz i'm not sure what "in isolation" means here, i'm not sure there is context that makes is more meaningful.

also anarchism is not against order, it's for making an order without power. and i don't think ancoms are somehow more orderly than other anarchists.

different anarchists have different ideas and preferences about how to address collective action problems, they just oppose coercive "solutions".

but all social structure is about collective mechanism made of individual actions.

i'm calling that he will largely ignore the powerseeking of the state, and suggest that he could just use the state for good if only everyone wasn't obsessed with "capitalism" for no reason.
