The lack of gatekeeping is exactly what destroyed the internet, it's exactly why we have to deal with censorship on the once free internet.
We nerds made the internet great, then around the time the first iPhone came out, normalfags colonized the internet and basically destroyed it for everyone.
The reason this was allowed to happen is exactly because no gatekeeping was done.
