Governments are not there for you, the legal system is not there for you, and the police is not there for you.
They're there to protect actual criminals with lots of money.
Anyone standing in the way of these criminals face fines and/or prison time.

This is also why privacy and anonymity are both extremely important, because once again, without privacy and anonymity there's no freedom.
